Suriana joined MaGIC early this year to lead the Special Projects team under the CEO Office. She oversees the overall planning, execution, monitoring and reporting of special projects which include SETIA (Social Entrepreneurs Transformation, Innovation and Acceleration) Programme, a collaborative project between MaGIC and Standard Chartered; as well as the E-Nation Conference 2020, a national conference with over 3,000 participants, to name a few.
She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Universiti Tenaga Nasional and has more than 15 years of experience in the startups ecosystem, especially in tech startups evaluation and fundraising. Suriana is passionate about startup development, entrepreneurial mindset as well as capacity building, and continues to actively develop the startup founders and their business growth.
Suriana has served as a senior investment manager for a government backed funding agency and developed tech startups who are raising series A funding from venture capitalists and investors. She has also been invited to startup competitions as a judging panel, startups mentoring as well as entrepreneurship speaking engagements.
